Elevate With Emily

Hi! My name is Emily and I am passionate about the wellness community. I love to workout, especially with friends. Meal prepping is my bible because if I don't you'll see me at the drive-thru everyday. I wear pretty much exclusively athlesure clothing because who has time for jeans anymore? Thanks for checking out my site!

For this project we had to download a speech and create our own motivational video. I liked to think of this project as creating a "Best of" for the speech.

I really enjoyed this portion of this project because it forced my to go through all of the 10,000 pictures I have accumulated on my laptop over the course of 5 years. I uploaded my favorite ones to my flickr account, and I'm editing my top 4 of each category (landscape, abstract, and portraits).
I chose to edit the pictures right in flickr because it's easier than to send them back and forth to my phone to edit them using an app, and potentially losing some quality along the way.

I always assumed that if a product was for sale then there must have been someone (the FDA) looking into the ingredients, however that is not the case. In researching these products I've come across a niche community relating to health and beauty product and babies. A lot of mother's are talking about how natural products are so much better and less harmful to babies. A large controversy I've come across is the ingredients in baby orajel. Apparently the ingredients are extremely harsh, especially for a babies sensitive skin. A lot of mother's are suggesting holistic alternatives to this product. This blogpost does a really good job at explaining the controversy behind the product. This game was created to educate the players that not all products are safe for your skin.

I like to focus on landscapes, mostly because they don't talk back. *Kidding!
